It’s 2016, it’s a fresh year! So, ladies let’s put our best foot forward by dropping these icky habits.
- Comparing Ourselves
Magazine models, our boyfriend’s x-gf, our coworkers, our friends on Facebook, the lives of the people on Pinterest… It seems like there is always another standard, with another ruler, we feel the need to measure our self worth with. You ARE ENOUGH And if you aren’t’ convinced you are, then you need to read this book.
There is no such thing as the perfect boyfriend, husband, woman, wife, girlfriend, daughter, kids, life…period.
Perfection does not exist.
XoXo, you little gossip girl. I get it. Sometimes you have a friend that you are angry with, so you vent to your friend about the mutual friend. It’s one thing to vent, and it’s another thing to make someone the topic of all your conversations. Choose your words and your friends wisely. If someone is making you angry enough that you need to talk about them so much, perhaps you don’t need that person in your life anymore? Or maybe you need to find out why he/she bothers you so much? Make your peace, boo.
3. Suggesting Fake Plans
I don’t know how many times I’ve heard the saying or I’ve said, “We should totally get together.” And then, the plans for the get together never happen. Why do we do this women? If we have no intentions of actually getting lunch with someone, then why offer it up? Which leads me to my next point…
4. Pity Plans
Did you make plans with someone, and you know that by the time the date comes, you will more than likely flake out? Or maybe you feel obligated to make plans with someone, because they are always asking? If you don’t want to really hang out with someone, then don’t hang out with them. Your time is valuable. Wouldn’t you rather be doing things you love with people you love?
Whether it’s a job or a boyfriend, and everything else in-between, go for what you want. Don’t settle for what is comfortable. “GO CONFIDENTLY IN THE DIRECTION OF YOUR DREAMS! LIVE THE LIFE YOU IMAGINED!”
